Tony Wright - CA The Director of RayneWright Accounting, Tony has spent half his working life in Chartered Accounting Practices and half in the Corporate field. A member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants with a broad based background of professional practice and business experience spanning some 30 years. Opting for a change in lifestyle, in 1991 Tony moved to Taupo to establish a business consulting and accounting practice, RayneWright Accounting Limited. Taking an advantage from its central location, the practice has successfully grown with clients throughout the North Island. Using his extensive combined commercial and financial background, Tony offers a unique added-value to his clients, providing a real and practical commercial perspective to his counsel. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ, after 13 years in public accounting, including 3 years overseas with the international firm, (then) Coopers & Lybrand, Tony returned to New Zealand to head the division established by Alex Harvey Industries Limited (later Carter Holt Harvey Limited,) to develop and manage their interests in tourism, with a special interest in the recreational sport of skiing. He later managed the successful public flotation and stock exchange listing of a public company, formed to buy out those tourism interests of Carter Holt Harvey. At different times, Tony has served on a number of Government appointments including the NZ Tourism Council; Wairakei Tourism Park Management Board; Tongaririo–Taupo Conservation Board and a Director of Western Bay Health Limited. As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ, Tony holds highly the fundamental principles designated by the Institute, which include integrity, objectivity, professional competence and professional standards.
